In 1682 Wallography; Or The Britton Describ’d: Being a Pleasant Relation of a Journey into Wales, &c. was published. Written by William Richards it satirises the habits, history, architecture, and social mores of the Welsh. It was reprinted in 1738 by Edward Holdsworth, John Torbuck, and Samuel Cobb and retitled A Collection of Welsh Travels, and Memoirs of Wales.
On pages 31/32 this description appears:
